Oliver Davies is a multidisciplinary director and creative director combining an eclectic background in design, music and live events with a love of moving image and a passion for mixed-media storytelling.
Bold and graphic or visceral and evocative, Oliver's design-led approach enables him to collaborate closely with artists, agencies and clients to find imaginative new ways of telling meaningful brand stories.
Having started his career as an art director at some of London’s best known design and advertising agencies, Oliver followed his twin passions of music and film to become a respected creative director in the world of live events and interactive experiences. Collaborating with forward thinking brands, bands and luxury fashion houses such as Burberry, Bally and Anya Hindmarch, Oliver helped craft innovative catwalk shows and large-scale, one-off events in the UK and around the world in cities like Milan, Taiwan and Beijing.
Always looking to push himself, Oliver moved to the US in 2014, joining the acclaimed New York studio of The Mill where he directed projects for brands such Apple, AT&T, Estée Lauder and Walmart. After four years on the east coast, and with two little New Yorkers in tow, Oliver returned to the UK and the Mill's London studio where, as a rostered director he continued to direct his own projects for Adidas, EA Sports, Parker, Google and BT.
Now a freelance director & creative director and based in the UK, Oliver combines a wealth of experience in animation, VFX and live-action filmmaking with a natural ability to collaborate, creating stylish and uplifting mixed-media content for the world’s leading brands.
